The Irish Family History Foundation website, www.irish-roots.net, developed by Kildare Web Services, received the award for "Best Accessible Website" at the Irish eGovernment Awards 2006.
Presentation of the awards took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin.
The award was presented for the "best website to respond to and provide for
persons with disability, awarded to the site or online service that has
succeeded in clearly enhancing online access for those with
disability."
Key factors included "improved access to resources and information for those with disability in accordance with eGovernment guidelines."
